Ans holds your last answer. For year two, just press : because the line starts with an operation, the Nspire writes Ans· for you. Type and press . (You can also paste Ans anywhere yourself with .)

ENTER repeats the last entry. Press once more on the empty entry line and Ans·1.035 runs again on the new answer: year three, no typing at all. Each extra press applies one more year, which makes this a quick way to watch any sequence grow term by term.

Recall an old entry instead of retyping it. Press on the touchpad to climb into the history (each press highlights an earlier answer or entry) and press to paste the highlighted one back onto the entry line. Recall 2500·1.035 (the very first entry), then type at the end and press to redo all three years in one line. Same answer, a good self-check.

Edit in place. Suppose the deposit was 12500 instead. Recall 2500·1.035³ from the history the same way, then press the touchpad's left edge to walk the cursor in front of the 2. The entry line always inserts, so slides in ahead of the 2 (no insert mode to switch on), and re-runs the whole calculation. Mistype something? deletes to the left, and undoes.
