Graphing functions
Enter a function in the Y= / f(x) editor and plot it on a chosen viewing window.
Graph y=ln(x+5)+x2 on the window x∈[−3,3], y∈[−2,12].
Open the Scratchpad's Graph view. From the Calculate scratchpad, press to flip pages, or go through the home screen: f1(x)= entry line. (If it shows something else, such as u1(n)=, the graph type has been changed: press
Insert the ln template by pressing ln(▯).
Type the argument of the log:
Press f1(x)= line.
Open XMin=-3, XMax=3, YMin=-2, YMax=12, moving between fields with Auto.
Your turn
Work each one on your calculator, then check the answer.
