Graphing functions
Enter a function in the Y= / f(x) editor and plot it on a chosen viewing window.
Graph y=ln(x+5)+x2 on the window x∈[−3,3], y∈[−2,12].
From the MAIN MENU, open Graph (icon 5). The cursor lands on the Y1: entry line. If you're inside another app, press first to get back to MAIN MENU.
Type the function: . The slot reads Y1=ln(X+5)+X². Press .
Open V-Window with (V-Window). Set Xmin=-3, Xmax=3, Ymin=-2, Ymax=12; leave Xscale at 1 and set Yscale to 2. Press when the fields are set.
The scale settings only decide the spacing of the marks; whether you see them is a separate setting. Press (SET UP) and set Axes to Scale so the axes carry numbered marks, Label to On so they are named, and Grid to Off. These persist between graphs, so a borrowed calculator may not match yours.
Press to return to the Y= editor, then (DRAW) to plot the function on the new window and settings.
