Casio fx-CG50 field manual for IB Math
Descriptive statistics from data
Enter one-variable data into a table or list, run the calculator's one-variable statistics command, and read the mean, standard deviations, and count.
Find the descriptive statistics for the data set 4, 7, 7, 8, 10, 12.
From the MAIN MENU, open Statistics. If you're already inside another app, press first to get back to MAIN MENU.
Enter the data values in List 1: 4, 7, 7, 8, 10, 12. Press after each value.
Set the data list first: press (CALC), then (SET), and set 1Var XList = List1 and 1Var Freq = 1. Both settings persist, so a frequency list left over from an earlier calculation would silently change the answer. Press , then (1-VAR) to compute.
The calculator gives xˉ=8, sx≈2.76, σx≈2.52, and n=6. Scroll down for the five-number summary.
